Linda Martin

Linda Martin at the Klamath River, Northern California

Hi, I’m Linda Martin. I’ve been fascinated by Bigfoot for many years.

Early in 2005 I decided to do a research project including this weblog and exploration of the Klamath National Forest, where I live. The first posting in this blog was dated April 4, 2005. Recently I redesigned this site and deleted many of my older messages. I may restore some of them - especially those sent by readers who shared their Bigfoot sightings experiences.

I recently closed my web design business, Klamath Design, though I maintain a blog there and own other websites on a wide variety of topics. I’m not looking for new clients, and would much rather spend my summer hiking through the forest looking for Sasquatch. If this leads to starvation it probably won’t hurt me much. There’s lots of wild edible food around and I’ve always had a thing for miner’s cabbage.

I also recently sold Happy Camp News.

I live in the center of the Klamath National Forest where Bigfoot sightings are common. I could not ask for a better place to do Bigfoot research.

  1. Hi, Linda.

I am embarrassed to admit that I only just discovered your most excellent website today. But I will visit often.

I have learned through reading your comments that you have relatively recently come to accept the possibility of ‘high strangeness’ among our hairy friends. Good for you, for that is a brave and even daring step, intellectually!

While there may not be many who are brave enough to go there (i.e., to dwell among the BF heretics!), you are, I believe, among the vanguard of seekers who sincerely wish to push back the boundaries of ignorance.

I, too, believe there is more to our big friends than meets the eye. Hopefully in our lifetimes we will discover some of the truth while ensuring their safety and protecting them from those who would do them harm.

Thank you for your hard work and good luck to you!

  2. Linda,
I have two passions, Bigfoot and lost civilizations. Eventually I plan to retire and look for proof of both.

  3. Hi Lynda,
I was just reading up on Happy Camp News and I found this site! I am sorry to say that I didn’t even know it existed. It is a great site! I am glad to see you are staying active in the whole Bigfoot thing and enjoying it! I saw your picture in the latest article and I really like your new hair style… You look great!
I will be checking back here a lot more often now… and if you would like, I will put a link up on our site for you. Let me know….
    Your good friend (and neighbor)

  4. though i appriciate your pasion for bigfoot and realize you dont care what some punk rock kid has to suggest but i really think you should just post blogsor whatever you call them if your excursion was successfull. i guess what i say doesnt matter seeing as this is your site and i dont have to go back but for future bigfoot searchers please try to be alittle more helpful. if you check my other comments you’ll realize that i really dont care wether or not i insult you but seeing as this right here is the most direct way of contacting you i’m not going to be my usual self. i hope you have a nice life.

  5. I just read all these comments. I’m sorry the Beckjord comments got posted - I thought I had deleted all his complaints about Tara. Tara is a neighbor here in Happy Camp … someone I treasure as a fellow Happy Camper.

JavaBob - I am so excited to see your comment here. You are and always have been one of my favorite Happy Campers though you’re not here right now.

  6. Linda
As someone who has personally spent 3 years living in the Hoopa area I can attest to the unusual aspects of your area. I have spent my time as one of only a handful of full time researchers associated with North America Bigfoot search. We are a group that is privately funded and doesn’t sell anything, doesn’t offer tours and has never given a press release. We tend to quietly do our job, make friends with the locals and attempt to understand the creature with the help of the people who have lived in the neighborhood.

The 3+ years of research has uncovered many unusual aspects of Bigfoot that have never been mentioned in the press. Our manuscript is at the publisher now and will be released to the legislature and to the public June 1, 2008. Our research only advances with the help of people who are truly interested in the humanity of the creature. We believe that Bigfoot is much smarter then the public understands and this will be highlighted with our release.

We admire the website and information you have accumulated, congratulations. We look forward to crossing paths in the near future.

    Continued Success
