Bigfoot Sightings

Today another Bigfoot researcher visited Happy Camp. I stopped by JavaBob’s Bigfoot Deli to get my son something cold to drink, and found Bob talking to Brandon Tennant of Idaho. He told me about a mountain near where he lives and of all the Bigfoot sightings that have taken place there over the course of many decades. He’s planning a Bigfoot event there for next June – I’ll be sure to post when I get specific news of time, place, and dates. I’m not sure if it will be a street fair somewhat like our Happy Camp Bigfoot Jamboree, or a conference or something else where Sasquatch research takes place.

BURLINGAME, CA — (MARKET WIRE) — 06/29/2005 — “The elusive creature known as Bigfoot may not be elusive for very much longer,” according to C. Thomas Biscardi, a Bigfoot explorer and founder of the Great American Bigfoot Research Organization.

In the next few days, Biscardi will begin an investigation into a cavernous area near Happy Camp, California, in which he expects to find evidence of Bigfoot inhabitation and hopefully be able to contain and capture a live creature.

This particular location has been chosen based on two very recent sightings from very credible witnesses. When Biscardi was contacted to follow up on these sightings, his investigation led to finding footprints indicative of a large primate. Since the public is skeptical of any Bigfoot sightings, Biscardi has invited news organizations and a team of documentary filmmakers from Sweden to join him on this investigation. Joining him will be Megan Landers, a reporter from The Medford News, Medford, Oregon, and filmmakers from Sweden, led by producer, David Sayer. The filmmakers are currently doing a movie about Bigfoot.

In the event that Biscardi and his team will be able to contain and capture a creature, further scientific study is slated to be coordinated under the supervision of Dr. George W. Gill, Ph.D., a professor of Anthropology at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.

“This is a high stakes, high risk, scientific and commercial expedition,” according to Biscardi. A recent two-and-a-half minute videotape of a Bigfoot sighting in Manitoba, Canada, was recently sold for an undisclosed sum to the television program “A Current Affair.” The undisclosed sum, according to Biscardi’s sources, “is purported to be in the high six figures.”

The findings and materials forthcoming from this investigation will also be offered for commercial sale and distribution. I found one! The writer at gyromancer.com admits not wanting to traipse around in the woods looking for Bigfoot scat, though the person likes reading about them. I had to agree, this writer is onto something.

My recent experience in the woods was minor to say the least, but it brought forth a few realities of Bigfoot research. (1) Poison Oak. (2) Mosquitoes. (3) Standing Upright on Steep Hillsides.

Learn from my mistakes. Be prepared.

On the other hand, I noticed that though plenty of mosquitoes landed on me, I have no pesky mosquito bites to show for it. It may be because I have a habit of eating lots of garlic, both cooked and fresh.

For poison oak, if you have to walk through an area innundated by these plants take a shower or at least get in the nearest river or stream to wash the poison oak oils off once in a while. And if a rash develops, you might like what my doctor gave me – it’s a cream called triamcinolone acetonide. It dries up and dispels the rash in only a few days as compared to the normal course of a poison oak rash – about two weeks. It must be used sparingly and I really don’t know what the hazards of using it are – but considering the benefits I’ve been pleased with the results.
